Where does the Digestion begin?

* Digestion begins in the mouth where food is grinded into smaller particles and then the chewed food is mixed with saliva, to make it soft so that it can easily travel down through esophagus.

   As food passes through the body, it is mixed with enormous amount of chemicals, which make the food particles down into small units, which can be easily absorbed into the blood and lymph system.

  Digestive juices are also secreted by the liver and the pancreas  that break down the food particles as it passes through the digestive ducts. All the food particles that we eat cannot be digested, so the waste is eliminated from the body.
